so i scored a 86 fourtrax 250 out a barn it was missing seat and gas tank, sad story behind her, the owner(85 year old guy) said it broke down and his buddy came to fix it left to get parts and got in wreck and died ( i know right). the 250 has not moved 20+ since this happened, so i tracked down everything to fix it, turned out to be a pick up coil, im sitting about 500$ in her at the moment. starts right up, brakes are great, shifts perfect.the two problems are i really like the quad but my buddy also really like it too, i don't wanna lay the pipe to him but i don't wanna just give it away and thoughts on value ?

last one I had and sold, got $ 1,500.00 out of it quick !. they are great atvs by honda, pretty dang fast for a utility atv !!. their only down fall ?, is the choke valve loves to seize if sitting for a short time ?, other than this ?, finding parts for them !..lol.

In that shape $1K minimum, maybe $1500 if the right buyer came along.

the racks need to be taken care before they get out of hand, right now its just light rusting here and there but it will be a huge problem if i or the one who gets it doesn't address it, or let it ride...i had a guy call me about it i guess a friend told a friend kind of deal and i told him i didn't want to sell but id hear a offer.....he goes ill give you 500$ not a penny more, welcome to Charleston south Carolina where no one cares about atvs, they trash em, then toss em...
