I was adjusting the fuel mixture screw on the carb and main fuse suddenly blew. All of the lights work but as soon at the start button is pushed the fuse slowly melts. Followed all the wires up to the ignition switch and there weren’t any wires touching metal or exposed copper. I also took apart the ignition switch and the plastics surrounding the start button.
Recently I replaced the old solenoid with an aftermarket one. So I tried putting the old solenoid back in and the main fuse doesn't melt. It starts up fine (when its attached to jumper cables)
Not very experienced with electrical issues so I'm at a loss on what to do next.
