1986 Fourtrax 250 - just getting acquainted

Hi all, this is my first post and my first ATV - picked it up for a song; it runs and drives pretty well, but no brakes and no starter (possibly if I install a battery the starter might work....). I've owned many two-wheelers but not being familiar with the quads, my first question is: Would this book be worth it? https://www.autobarn.net/atv-basics-book.html.

I agree with wheelsquad, and fish, stay clear of Haynes and clymer manuals. Go with a genuine honda manual.

I got maybe 2 Honda Service Manuals , that was by accident , one was a download that I paid to get printed , the other I didn't have to pay --- I got a bunch of the Clymer and Haynes , anything beyond that I can find out here , LOL
I'd be willing to jump on one if she comes along with it, heck I might even purchase two!
