Hey new to the forums hoping you guys can help. My friend and i have been working on my 86 fourtrax 250 and we took off the carb and the hoses to clean it and (like idiots) forgot how the hoses were connected. i cant find a useful diagram or photo anywhere. I looked on bike bandit and i found the part breakdown but thats like gibberish to me and quite confusing to look at. Does anyone have a hose diagram or just a photo of their carb with all the hoses connected i could see. Thanks in advance!

i would appreciate the picture/ Diagram if someone has it...
unless your pulling your hair out..because you can't figure out where they go, don't worry about them..they really don't do crap, only hose you need to have on it..is the very bottom hose..this is the drain-over flow hose..and it helps to have it below or near the bottom of your engine..this keeps fuel from getting any where near any kind of spark if your carb over flows from a stuck float needle or your draining the carb.

Hi, I'm new also and having the same problem. The links aren't working. I have the throttle, choke, and fuel line connected, however there is a small hose coming off of the right side that I'm not sure where it goes. I'm picking up a parts wheeler today, but the carb is not on it. I'll probably be posting alot until I get one running.

Welcome to the forums. Those hoses are just vent lines and don't attach to anything. They just hang straight down.......one on each side of the carb. Also, there's a hose on the bottom of the carb bowl and it's your carb bowl drain/overflow hose and it just hangs straight down, too and doesn't attach to anything.

The 2 little hoses on both of mine run together then run up to the frame about where your snorkel tube is for your carb air intake and mine has to barbs built into the frame,,1 for the from rear end vern tubes and 1 for your carbs and those just vent to atmospheric air other then the overflow hose which should never be used or in use if your carb is right. Of course I have rebuilt 2 with all new parts and they still run over because of no adjustment to the float bowl and I think the engineer that thought that through must of had his head buried in the toilet bowl that day because everything I have ever worked on had some room for adjustment.
