1986 fourtrax 200 CDI wiring

A friend asked me to look at his 1986 honda fourtrax 200 bc it wasnt getting spark. i think its the CDI box, however it looks like someone previously put in a 5 wire unit instead of a 6 wire, ie, they hacked it up. I ordered a new 6 pin CDI, but am now confused how to wire it since the new one has a 4 pin plug and a 2 pin plug. Also, is this unit's CDI an AC or DC? Can someone give me a diagram of how to wire this up, or show me where i can find a manual that would tell me? id hate to give it back to him in pieces w/o fixing it for him.
