hello i have a 1986 honda fourtrax. I am no getting any spark to the spark plug, but im not sure how to check and what. and i dont want to blindly replace parts...to expensive.

I would start simple, wiring, fuses and go from there. Welcome to the forums.

Welcome to the forums. I would invest in a good service manual. It will have the specs for testing everything.

just got 98 fourtrax250. smoking so bad theres no bugs left in neighborhood. case shows no signs of oil leak has good power but oil all over exhause. do i need rings or what?

Welcome to da forums...:icon_ devilegrease/oil the exhaust inside,and out using a good degreaser,and heavy soap first,then run it to see if you're still getting smoke..You may need to do a compression check,and a leak down test to ascertain if it needs new rings,valve stem seals,or a complete top end job..Also,check your oil level,and make certain it isn't empty,or overfilled...:icon_gd:
