Can anyone tell me where the thrust waster goes on the starter reducer shaft on a 1985 Honda fortrax 250? It won’t fit where the parts diagrams show where it’s suppose to go. I took it apart and now I can’t remeber where it goes on that shaft because it fell off when I was taking it apart. Thanks in advance!

facing the left side, washer goes on far left gear. small gear inside, then long shaft, then outer gear, then washer .

So it goes between the outer gear and the cover?

yes, between outer gear and cover on left side when facing motor .
