Im new to the forum and am looking for some help. So heres what i got. I have a 1985 trx250 fourtrax. The thing is a tank and the only problem i have is that i want to upgrade the footpegs. I have a set of nerf bars from my 1987 trx250x and im thinking im going to weld them up to the frame but before i do tha i want to know if anyone has a better idea or has done something better

I would built a set that you can bolt on, rather than welding them onto the frame. Welding is permanent and if not done right can lead to a cracking frame. Got any pics of your ole gal you can share?

Just a note, if you do weld them take the battery positive lead off, or even better unplug the cdi, fourtrax trx250 parts are hard to come by these days.
