Hey guys, looking for some help. I have a 85, 250 bigred that I recently took out of storage. The rear end is stuck, trying to remove the back brake drum having a lot of trouble. I used a little heat and smacked and hit it but no luck. I only used regular propane touch not the map gas. Didn’t want to burn up the seals. Any suggestions??

I also checked the gear oil and it’s empty and looks to be dry out. Like a grease past at the cap location that’s it. I drove the bike in when I put in the storage unit, no sign of leeks. Could it be jammed or stuck, again no sign of damage. Wonder what I should do next. If anyone has any ideas or suggestion please let me know.

Thanks

Fill the rear gear up with proper lube so when tou have to rotate it the gears won’t be dry

Then adjust the brake shoes all the way in just in case theyve worn a groove into the drum and now catching the lip of that groove
