Correct. Axle needs to be in place in the diff. Slide the bearing stopper on the axle, wide side facing the wheel, then put the axle tube on.

I donot remember if the "collar" that goes on the left rear of the axle goes on before or after the bearing/seal.
Do i slide the axle through, put it on and then slide the axle tube over it?
