I think for the 27" tires you will need a lift kit. The 26" should be fine. Having 14" wheels, you will have less rubber mounted so you should be ok with the weight.
I have 27s on my 420 and you can tell the power diff but it still does very well in the mud plus I am not looking for speed out of it, just what it will do oin the mud. I have a buddy with 26 mudlites on his 350 and it still does good, he can still ride wheelies with it.
