not really, worn rings will though , or bad valve guide seals ?, one of these deff will let it smoke !.

I agree but i dont think that they would just go all of the sudden would they? My buddy added some oil an over filled it. Do seals or rings just go or is it more of a gradual thing?

sorry, wasnt trying to sound like a smart azz ?..just making a point..they do wear out over time is all . over filling with oil will NOT cause it to start smoking that i know of ??.
