I bought my wife a used "08 rancher es and have been doing a little riding around the neighborhood to make sure everything is in good working order before taking it to it's new home in upper penninsula Mi. While riding and under good acceleration and shifting thru the gears I noticed that if you take the machine to what I consider not max rpm's it sputters at the top end before you shift, is there a rev limiter on this model and where is the fuel filter or does it only have a fuel screen. Thanks for any info.

Yeah, it has a rev limiter. I'm not positive about the fuel filter, but since it is fuel injected, I would think that it would have a fuel filter, but not sure.

Yeah it should have a filter.My 250x doesn't and I really don't know why.
