I have an 2007 Rincon that is having trouble switching gears in auto. Switch it to ESP and it shifts fine. When it doesn't want to switch gears in auto I stop put it in neutral and turn it off. After I turn it back on it's fine and switches normal. But after about an hour or two of riding it starts back to the not switching. What could be my issue. I use Honda synthetic or amsoil synthetic oil. Never had an issue until now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hows your oil level? is it at the top mark? and is the oil your useing jaso ma rated for wet clutches? these machines are picky as *** when it comes to oil and the trannys do really weird things when its low, does it slip at all? haha stupid question but is your battery cables tight to :grin throwing up any codes? failing all the stupid stuff could be the TP sensor or rear VS sensor, or even a loose connection, i dont have any links to a manual to try and troubleshoot, maybe one of the other members might, but it is an absolute godsend for these machines :grin

Oil level is always perfect. And I have no idea I'll have to look at the oil bottle to see. It doesn't slip it just doesn't wanna switch. Cables are all good. I do think the battery is going bad because sometimes after I've been riding at night and cut it off it and try to cut it back on the light on the dashboard is dim and it stutters to crank but then after it's fine. And bright.

Take your battery connections off, clean them, and reconnect. If you still get low battery symptoms replace the battery. The newer EFI bikes and especially the Auto/ES machines won't work right without a good battery, but you might just have dirty connections.
