Hello. Sorry if this is already posted somewhere but didn't see it. I have a 2007 Rincon and when I try to put it in reverse, it grinds. It will go into reverse if I hold the brake and kind of rock back when I shift it. Just wondering if it's something I can adjust or does it have to go to the shop. Thanks.

Its possible that the selector cable is out of adjustment (or the linkage is out of whack/balance, favoring the forward position) in the sub-trans. If you don't have any trouble codes flashing on the gear indicator light, try running through the troubleshooting flow chart at the beginning of section 12 in the factory service manual (Linked HERE).

I suspect it is either the cable or the linkage out of adjustment... assuming the idle speed is not high and no DTCs are logged that indicate an electrical, ECM or shift solenoid problem.

Let us know what you find if you can..?
