ok so i have a 07 420 rancher EFI i had 30" silverbacks on it eventually my transmission gave out but over all was happy with how it rode. so now i got it apart fixing the trans and i want to turn 33" tractor tires... which even though larger in size weigh less. so far i am doing a 53% gear reduction, as well as planning to have a 500 cylinder/head put back on it instead of the 420. i have a programmer/exhaust to richen the AFR was wondering if there are any other popular mods? cams? idk as well as will any 07-13 cylinder work? that is how im understanding it.

The GR alone will make a BIG difference, personally I'd do what you've mentioned above and try it out. I think you'll be happy with it.
I plan on running 31" tractor tyres with my 57% GR, I'm going to cut the carcass (between the lugs) to allow the tyres to flex better with less weight on them and to reduce weight further.

Head work I'm not sure on if I'm honest, I was always lead to beleive that porting and polishing is pretty pointless unless your fitting bigger valves and a higher profile cam etc.
@wheeler did a lot of engine work to his 300 and from what I gather it's quite a beast now, he may be able to give you some good pointers

If you want to put a 500 cylinder on it you have to use a 2012-up Foreman 500 top end. Rubicon will not work, nor will a pre-2012 Foreman cylinder.
got any more info on this? whats the difference between them? and is that any 2012-2017 foreman cylinder?
12100-HR0-F00 CYLINDER $254.90

The 05-11 Foreman was air cooled. Totally different machine.

The 01-14 Rubicons were liquid cooled, but totally different engine.

The 2012-UP Foremans are pretty much beefed up 420 Rancher motors. Same crank, same crankcase, different cylinders, different clutches, different stators.

Get the 500 cylinder, piston, rings, and gaskets and bolt it on. Use OEM parts. Don't know about boring a 420 cylinder out that much oversize. My gut says no, but not positive.
