I am going to purchase a 07 STOCK and I was wondering about this whole airbox lid removal situation...

I see all over "Airbox lid Removed"

IS this exactly what it says? Like the air fliter box lid is just left off?

And if so, do you have to have other things done in order to run it like this or can you just do it stock.

And what advantages/disadvantages does this have?

I would think you should use a prefilter on your air filter.

it takes in more air by taking it off.if its not backfiring when you ride you shouldnt need to rejet.if you add an exhaust then i would.youll here a sucking noise with it off this is normal.

More air equals more power. But you need to make sure you're not running lean.
