The fact it won't even roll in neutral has me believing it has nothing to do with oil pressure or the hondamatic unit. The first 2 areas I would check if it were mine would be the sub-transmission (the part that determines F-N-R, this is separate from the hondamatic), and the front and rear diffs. Make sure it is in N and 2wd, jack up all 4 tires, and see if any spin.

If you change the primary shifter positions while running, can you hear or feel it shift from N to F, F to N, and N to R? Report back after checking all that.

I think I'd be checking the rear brake first. I've seen some that the brake shoe material comes off and jams up the brake.

I agree with wheelsquad. Jack it up and see if any of them will spin at all. I'm guessing both fronts will, and both rear will not.

If that's the case make sure the brake in the rear isn't jammed up.

Exactly. I almost went back and edited my post right away to check the brakes. But figured that would also become obvious after jacking up and seeing what spins and what doesn't.

When you put it in drive. the 4 wheel drive light flashes 5 times but switch is in 2wheel position
I don't have the service manual right in front of me, so not sure what that means in the moment. Still jack up all 4 at the same time and report back. Observe what the 4wd light is doing at that time as well.
