06 honda recon 250

I can pick this recon 250 up for 400, he said it pulls to the left and needs carb cleaned. Its a buddy of mine and i seen it running not that long ago. Even if i had to replace things, is it worth it for 400? Im trying to make a buck on it. This would be my first atv. Im usually only messing with bikes. My the craigslist in my area it looks promising, but wanted to check with the forum. Thanks for any input
