On the left side of bike were wires push on to gear selector there is a nutral plug reverse plug drive plug on the same harness there is a yellow wire with green stripe I can't find we're it goes it come out of the harness that is showing here

From what I remember on mine that same harness also has the oil temp sensor. And eventually it should end up at the ECM. We'll be able to help and figure this out for you, just not able to get to my service manual at the moment.

Same wire comes off of speed sensor or maybe it's called angle sensor it's rite in front of the pic I showed it splits off in back of motor

look too see at bottom back of motor if oil temp wire is still attached to oil temp sensor at lower part of engine at the back end ?.

Frig i changed one 4-5 years ago, but cant recall where the other ends go :O Think i still have the old one too. Think Shadetree is right as well, goes somewhere near the pull cord.

Dude it's that wire rite above the #5 on that wire harness to the right single wire

yes, # 10 is your oil temp sensor, the sensor is at the very bottom of rear engine cover. is it missing a wire on the sensor ?, if so ?, thats where your extra wire goes .

You guys are exactly on the right track, I'm not sure about the wire color that was initially mentioned, but if the end of the wire is a bullet connector, and the oil temp sensor has nothing connected to it, then there you go.
