my buddy has a 680 fuel injection with about 2500 miles that when it warms up it falls on its face like it is starving for fuel or the cdi box is loosing power replaced the spark plug blew out the injector took fuel pump out of canister and cleaned strainer and canister- ran good for about 20-30 minutes then started doing it again any help thanks really need to get it going dont want to take it to the shop either

Have you checked the IAC valve? I don't know if that is your problem or not, but on fuel injected engines that is what takes the place of the choke. Since it starts doing it when it warms up, maybe the IAC is stuck or something. There is a free download for a repair manual at the site listed below. It is for a 650 Rincon, but it should be about the same for the 680. Maybe this will help you troubleshoot it. Here's the link.

dont know if the 650 is fuel injected or not i thought the iac valve usually just controlled the idle it idle fine untill u try to give it a bunch of gas then it coughs and sputters and falls on its face thats after the motor warms up runs fine when its cold for about 15 minutes or so

Yeah, the 650 Rincon isn't fuel injected. I wasn't really aware of that, but now I know. Sorry about that.
