Hi all. Im trying to fix my 06 300ex. At first I thought it was the solenoid as I bypassed with a screwdriver and the starter worked. Replaced the solenoid and it started a few times afterwards. Now its not starting again. Bypassed the solenoid again and it starts. What can be causing this issue?

If you replaced the solenoid with a quality one, I would start with weak/ loose/ partially broken connection of wire from start button or ground.

Put a voltmeter on the wire from the button to the post on the solenoid. It is usually yellow, but I don't have a diagram.
Push the button, you should get 12 v.

Was your replacement solenoid an OEM Honda part? If not, then it was a cheap china knockoff part... which are purposely dumped here as garbage. In that case you will have to buy the replacement solenoid again. This time an OEM solenoid unless you happen to be very wealthy...

Thank you. The solenoid was one i found on Amazon. So it was a cheap one.

Don't fall for the cheap china junk. OEM may hurt your wallet now but your saving money and a headache later. You have any pics of her?
