Workin on a friends recon that was havin rear brake locked up issues. The drum cover broke the second time I hit it with a rubber mallet. My question is how do I get this spacer off? I don't see it on a parts fiche its gotta come off to replace that bearing below it though. Please help. Thanks.

You'll have to take the brake drum off from the axle to replace the bearing. You can get a copy of the service manual HERE to use for reference.

I actually found it on a parts fiche its #14.hard to read but its to the right of #34 in the pic. Once its off i can replace the bearing. Im pretty sure?

Yeah, section 13 in the FSM I linked to above covers the disassembly and reassembly completely.
