New to honda and new to the forum. I just recently got a stock 05 rancher 350 4x4 manual shift. After riding auto polaris's and a current arctic cat I liked the manual shift better for my trips getting ready for deer season. I got the rancher but noticed on my first trip that when letting the gearing hold it back there is a grinding, rattling sound that seems to be coming from front differential. After hearing it the first time I starting listening more and it makes this sound when you let off the throttle. If I'm descending a hill and it starts making the noise I give a little throttle and it goes away.

Any ideas?

sounds to me your clutches need to be looked at, spec the one-way bearing in the centrifugal clutch.
