Hey guys (and Gals), new here and was wonder if I could get some help with changing the spark plug. First time we are doing is and it seems like you should be able to get to it without removing the gas tank. I just can't get to it enough to tell what size it is. Would some here know what size socket it takes. Do I need to get a thin wall socket to get it or will a regular deep socket get it.

Welcome to the forums. I think it's an 18mm, that's what most ATV sparkplugs are.

Yea that's what I think it is to but would it be a thin wall socket ??

I'm not really sure on the 400EX. Maybe someone else will chime in that knows.

You will need a thin wall socket because its tight, and you can get it without removing the gas tank.
