Esp blinks while engine is running but not while it isnt. It blinks 5 times. I do not have a repair manual and I dont know where to even start. I'm not sure if it would be the angle sensor or electric shift. Any help would be great.

Code 5 angle sensor system "motor lock". Remove the shift motor and check for binding.Also check the harness into the angke sesor and the shift motor they are known to be problematic.

esp was blinking on my sons rancher after he fliped it,unplugged angle senser,cleaned it with contact cleaner,filled plug with dilectric grease,works fine now.

That harness is famous for that. Seems the wires pull out of the plug.
