ok peeps ive got an issue and im wonder? ethenol is it bad to run gas with this crap in it?
seems that im having a feul starvation problem when going up steep incline or just hammering down to get out in front of my buddie ltr450. i will stall out or get some burps. like my carb isnt holding enough feul in it. ive pulled and checked the screen in the tank. the tank is clean the feul line from the tank to the carb is fine. and the bowl on the carb was clean. im stumped??? spark plug is nice and brown.

plz help!!!!
should i make the road trip to find gas without ethanol in it. yes i run 93 or higher octane.

ps. my buddie put the top of the line yoshymira pipe on his ltr450 and i cant stand bieng behind that loud abnoxious thing. im getting :icon_ owned:

Do not run gas with ethanol, these quads do not respond well to it.

it act like someone reaches down and shuts the fuel petcock off on me. cause if it shuts off on me all i have to doo is kick it over and she will fire right back up and i can go again . or when it starts to happen and i pull in the clutch rev it up a little im goo to go for another ten minutes or when i need full throttle then it will doo it again.
i have not had a problem the past 2 month ive owned the machine. but i will take ur advice. and i am putgether as of right now.

Has it done this the whole time? Sounds like you may need to hop up one size on the main.

Does it do it with the air box lid on and off?

was jetted with the lrd exhaust k&n airfilter. w/ airbox lid on no mods done to the airbox.

Put a 180 main jet in and take the air box lid off and turn the mixture screw out 1 3/4 to 2 turns from lightly seated (closed position) what size main jet is in it know? and if you still have the stock needle in it that is not adjustable get a hrc needle and put the clip in the 3rd notch from the bottom.

sounds to me the float is sticking..not filling the bowl up all the way.

well in a nut shell. put back together. after not finding a exact problem. (had the night off of work and wanted to ride). found a gasstation with ethenal free gas. and didnt have a problem at all.ran a hole tank threw it and didnt get a spurt, or sput..... so i will continue to ride until it happens again then ill be checking my jets and what not.
