Haha no worries! No one likes wiring lol. You are getting closer. The wire should come out of the stator and go straight up to tie togeather with the main wire harness and run back to the top of the battery. That is where the whole harness should run. It will then have a bunch of connectors. One is the 4 pin plug out of the stator. Right in that same spot there should be the male black with red tracer plug. The female connector at that spot actually just runs in the main wire harness straight to the cdi box according to the wiring diagram in my fsm.
