05 350 Rancher 4X4 shifting light

The shifter light says I'm in reverse and neutral when I'm in neutral. Then it says I'm in neutral when I'm in first. Is this a shifter issue or maybe an electrical issue? Not a big deal for me, but my fiance drives it a little and I want to fix it for her. Any ideas?
