Hello guys. I just discovered this forum so I’m pretty excited about it. Two weeks ago I bought a 2004 350 ES from a guy in Louisiana for a pretty decent and low amount of money. Knowing that it smoked, It was in bad shape, dirty and would need brakes and tires I decided to take it home and work on it. So far I have replaced the cylinder, piston head with new rings, the new cylinder head with new valves, springs, seals. Realized that I’m missing a couple of things that were never inside of the engine when I was taking it apart so I have some stuff coming in the mail in the next few days. I have ordered most of the parts from partszilla.com and looking forward to bringing this machine back to life. Also, my instrument display doesn’t work, only the lights for neutral, reverse and ignition come on but nothing appears on the digital display. Does anybody know a good source for these?

Thank you Retro. I did see them in Partzilla.com and shyed away due to price but the eBay one seems more reasonable. Once I finish the engine I’ll move on to breaks and then tires. I think the meter is going to be one of the last things.

unless you pulled and split that motor, and cleaned it all out ?, your wasting time and cash rebuilding it. I see a snorkel on it in your pics ^^^ , this tells me its been sunk. which explains why the top end is trashed.
