Hi all,

Im at school right now and was home last weekend and right before i left the starter on my 04' rancher 350 4x4 es crapped out on me. My mom wants to use it sometime this week and i wont be home to rebuild the starter for a week or two so my question is this: is there a pull start on it? I cannot for the life of me remember. I know there is a little manual shift lever thing for emergencies but cannot recall if there is a pull cord or not.

Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure all the 350 Ranchers had the pull rope start on the back of the engine. The rope handle will be sticking out on the right side of the engine at the rear. It may have a plastic cover over it that pulls off.

2003 honda rancher started rattling real bad at back of engine..I went to pull out and it shut off like something held the engine back..I started it back and Reved it up a little and what ever it was was in the pull start because now the pull start is locked. It still starts and drives no noises now

Pull the pull start off and see what seized up back there.

8mm socket, think there are three bolts holding the pull start on a 350 Rancher. Might be 4 bolts. Can't remember off the top of my head.

Yup should just be 3 8mm bolts to pull off. Kind of a pain in the butt to get to but not that hard and then you can see what the peoblem is.
