'03 TRX450ES FE Front diff question

Could someone tell the proper way to disassemble this? I'm not a novice but I've never done one of these and if there's a trick, I'd appreciate some help before I break it.

I got a 2002 450 , I have never taken the selector apart before , but I have read the manual front to back and seem to remember quite a few special tools needed , I remember that piece cost some where between $400-450 , I would have to agree , get a manual like Shade said , before getting into it
