03 TRX 90 pull start rope not returning

Welcome to the forums. Someone probably changed the rope and didn't wind the spring enough. As long as it's still long enough to start, I would pull the rope out and slide the handle down about 10 inches(the length that's hanging out) and tie another knot in the rope.

ADDED: Looks like, Pain and I, were typing at the same time. LOL.

If it's still working OK, I would just shorten it and worry about learning how to work on it the next time the rope breaks. LOL.

after studying it for about an hour..i decided to spot weld the outside hook to the recoil cover..( the ******* way )..it never came off in my face again !..lol.
