Its an electric shift and it shifts fine up and down gears, but wont go into reverse. Is there a common prob. with these, and what could it be?

follow your rev cable down to where it hooks to the trans and make sure that the switch is fully engaging when you pull the brake back. If your not sure loosen the cable up at the brake and you can move the lever by hand and down shift to rev, this should tell you if you have a cable problem or an adjustment problem. Hope this helps.
