350 rancher ran great till i washed it and inspected it for damage, none found
but i did turn the idle knob on the bottom of the carb, now when i run it, it will surge, like go full throttle and then fall on its face. does it in all gears.

Sounds like you picked up some water make sure your air filter is dry and the air box is dry also. then I would shut off the fuel and remove the carb bowl and drain it, while the bowl is off turn on the fuel and let it drain a little. Put it all back together and try it.

thanks i will try that, also on the idle knob how do i re-adjust it, i think i got it back to where it was or supposed to be. in nuetral it sounds pretty good didnt now if i turned it all the way in if their was a method of backing back out so many turns, or something.

If you didn't turn the pilot screw then you should be fine by just re-setting the idle stop screw, just put it to where it sounds good to your ear, you know how it used to sound.

Lol. . Tried that once @the age of 9 steering with your feet is not fun I might add. Lol I was all over the runway.
