Spending lots of time working on my sons atv. Question, had to get head and cylinder surfaced due to warp. He bought with 87mm bore kit without questions. Can anyone help me with the piston/valve clearance. Honda service said .015 to .050 mm. Wondering, because I can't find in service manual, can't get answer from kit companies and honda service dept answer just seems to close.
Thanks for any help

Welcome to the forums...
How much did they Deck the Head? service limit is .004. on cylinder head warpage you should be ok on the clearance the best way to do it is with molding clay on top of the piston bolt everything up according to spec use the old head gasket so you don't ruin the new one and by hand crank over the engine. Someone may have a better way of doing it or can tell you the clearance but my 99-02 honda service manual don't tell me anything either.

Welcome to the forums. I agree with Moose on the way to check the clearance, but I looked in my 400EX manuals and I couldn't find anything on the clearance, either. You might try calling another dealer service dept. at a different location and see if they tell you the same.
