i have a 01 rancher and the front left side axle keeps popping out making my 4x4 not work what do i do?

Welcome to the forums. Is the bike stock, no lift or anything? I've never seen that happen on the Rancher, but I would pull the axle and make sure the splines aren't damaged and put a new clip ring on the axle and see if that helps. That clip ring is what helps hold the axle in.

bike is stock and i just got a shop to put a used diff. in the front because i blew mine apart and they said the splines were fine but iam guessing the might have demaged the clip thanks for the info keep in coming
