Bought this ride for a couple hundred dollars put 10 miles on it now it has no spark ....now the gears show a No gear indicated it just has --- in the spot of gears ....replaced ecu ... Cleaned electric motor ...read somewhere gear indicator switch malfunction I don't if that's it makes senece though .... I don't know what to or how to test for continuity on the wires (the numbers to look for on 2001 model) that's all I've done so far

If you dont have a neutral light the bike wont have spark. It has to be in N to crank as a safety feature.

Yea neutral and reverse light stays on

on the 2000ES450.it had old grease in the shifter housing. most i learned was from the ES sticky in repair & maintenance. i got a problem in the wiring, now. that is a different subject.

you may find a manual here, at least try.
if ya aint to far away, i might flip ya a couple of C-notes, so ya dont get to far in. to repair. :smile
