I just bought a 01 forman 4X4 450cc it has 80 miles on it. this bike has been stored for 9 years. I have changed the oil and filter in it and the oil light is on and the moter will knock. My question is the a oil pump that needs to be replaced or do I need to find something else to fix

Welcome to the forums. If the engine is knocking, you may have a bad rod bearing.

what about the oil light is there a oil pump ....and with the time that the bike sat could that have any to due with oil presseure... a bad rod on a honda motor with 80 miles on it and 30 hours just dont sound like a honda
I didn't even see where you said 80 miles, that would be unusual.

Yeah, there is an oil pump but the oil light is just an oil temp light, so it doesn't have anything to do with oil pressure, just the temperature of the oil.

can yopu replace from the top or do i have to remove motor to do
To replace the oil pump, you have to remove the front crankcase cover and you have to remove the centrifugal clutch. Then 3 bolts hold the oil pump on. I would take the little valve covers off, where you adjust the valves, and see if oil is getting to the head before changing the oil pump.
