So do all Walmarts change just $5 to mount? I will find someone to mount.

Are the Kenda Bear Claw tires a decent all around tire? I see Dennis Kirk has them on sale.
I have NO clue if its a set fee across ALL walmarts or not, but it is what they charge here
and honestly, the last tires I ordered thru them for a riding mower, they DID install for free
I didn;t expect it, but the manager in auto shop, said, I'll throw them on for you and gave em back to me and said have a great day!
and this wasn't the first time they did so for me over the yrs(different wally worlds too)
now these were NOT BIG tires, just small lawn mower tires and trailer tires!

Well I wasn't first, but this is how I do it

Use a 5 gallon bucket upside down, place the rim on it, lube the tire and you can push and twist the lower bead by hand, I use 3 tire tools from amazon for $15 and like a bike tire walk it around. NOW heres the real trick, first tire iron came over the rim, pushing the tire down and that part of the tire beed let it set into the deepest part of the rim, not just below the lip but where the rim dip inward towards center, this allows the tire to reach farther on the opposite side and not tear the bead. I have even needed to mount wheels upside down it the offset is to positive or negitive .

Just pay attention to where the bead rest, and if its to hard to cam over the rim with a tool, than put youe kneed on the tire and push it down farther into that dip/dished area.

So got the Kenda Bear Claws and a couple were really distorted in the packaging. Big problem even with the HF large tire changer I could not break the bead on the one rim I tried!! Took to my local ATC, lawn mower, tractor place to be mounted. Oh well.

Yeah! Could not be any bigger!

My attempt at mounting. I welded the shoe on the bottom of the changer and C clamped to the extension I welded up from a old hitch and some 3 inch square tubing I had in my metal pile. I could not break the bead on the tire I tried. I love the way the Forum rotates some of the pictures. Took me three trys to get it the right way up!!

if you are using a smart phone to take pics ?, make sure the home button, and pic button is always on the right side as you are holding the phone sideways, this site is too damn dumb to figure out which way we hold our '' stupid '' phones..lol.

Another thing to think about is what are you going to do with the old tires you pull off? I change a lot of my own ATV tires, but then have to take them to a tire shop to get rid of the old ones. I found a place that charges me $12 to take four tires; thing is he doesn't care if they are on the rims or not. So for $12 he will dismount and dispose of a set of tires. I then mount my new tires. I can get cheaper prices on tires ordering online than through any local shops.
