Good looking projects.

I figured you woulda give her a bath already lol! While you’re waiting on parts and got the fender/tank off, consider washing down the frame with a dishsoap mixture and a couple of bottle brushes. This will let you inspect the frame, wire harnesses and connectors

Don’t hose it down or pressure wash but be pretty liberal with the water so you can get sll the dirt off. Then use some contact cleaner and permatex dielectric lube on the connector you can get to. This will also make it easier to get them off and on.

FF, I couldn't let that deal slip by.

Well I've got the lever kit coming also.

Might try to fix mine first just because I like a challenge. But if all else fails, I've got a back up plan
I set up an account with PSN , THANKS AGAIN FISH...

Goober I did wash / clean the 1991 and painted it hunter green, will post new pics later.

Shade I've got the beginners level puzzle with what I'm doing compared to your expert level puzzle that takes up the whole floor.

Wewa' , a tip on PSN , you can set up an alert , where if something you are looking for comes available then they will send you an e-mail , also they give a discount pretty often , , also when you are on their e-mail list they will send you a list of all their new atv arrivals -------- if you plan on sticking with 300s for a while , keep your eyes out for a cheap parts bike , perferablly that matches your generation of 300

Note if you haven’t assembled your starter valve kit. That metal horn goes into the boot only one way—the smaller end goes toward the valve nut and the cable fits into the larger end.

Keep all your extra parts and stuff you come across in a tiny zip lock and store those in a compartmented hardware box you may need them for Quad II

@fishfiles, as promised, I am quoting this again to you fish because you wanted the update on my carb's choke starter valve I purchased from partzilla for this '88 trx300fw. I got everything in yesterday, and it all went together just perfect as far as the valve, cap ( nut ), what I dont know yet is the fit at the switch ?, that will be awhile..lol. but !!!, I can compare the length of the new cable to the old cable, and see if they match ?. if they match ?, I will let you know ! :-). by the way, I am pretty sure the part numbers all matched to the same as the OP in this thread ?, short starter valve, small nut, tube, rubber cover, and one tiny clip, and spring, and the cable for a 1988 trx300fw :-).

LOL, the downside to telling all you guys about PSN is they don't have as much inventory now and their prices on some parts are going up due to increased demand! LOL

I noticed the other day the ignition switches have gone WAY up in price since we all started buying extras when they were $7 shipped for an ignition switch with a key. I'm down to one spare after replacing my father in law's switch on his recently stolen and recovered Rubicon.

They have had a lot of sales lately. I stock up on commonly needed parts when they have a sale.
