Oil cooling line leaking oil 01 Honda rancher350

I just bought an 01 Honda rancher 350 and noticed today it is leaking oil on the right side where the oil cooling line bolts to the block beside where the oil filter goes I tried to tighten it and made the leak worse wanting to know if there is supposed to be an o-ring there or gasket You can see the gap in the picture not sure if that?s normal or not. Any help would be much appreciated.

there is an o-ring that slides on the pipe when you remove the fitting .

Take it apart, put a new oring in it, and put it back together. If the oring was good it wouldn't be leaking. It won't be 100% flush and if you overtighten it you will strip the threads.
shadetree and _Wilson_ like this.
