PatrickB I would just cut that extension part off, clean up the shifter good with a wire wheel, spray some clear coat on it and call it a day.

_Wilson_ That beats the ones I've seen ... Unless you want this tank mint like goober, shade and PatrickB have there's ... I'd cut that added on part off... Also... Might need to tighten the clamp on splined end up... Looks like t might be a tad loose

My best find was around $40

retro Dupli-color silver caliper paint in the rattle can is an exact color match for those rims and the fuel tank. You can shoot some dupli-color clear on the rims once the color coat has flashed off, make 'em shine and clean up easier. If you prefer a slightly darker shade try Rust-oleum silver caliper paint.

_Wilson_ I believe the oem rim paint is import magnesium .... I never had any luck locating any in a spray can.... I went with the closest match plasti dip bright aluminum rubber coating it's held up REAL good!

shadetree I use krylon silver paint on all my rims and engines. wally world sells it.

inv3ctiv3 Figured I'd update this, quad's been running great but I would love to re-do the wheels because they have some slight rust. Does anyone have a color that closely matches or a brand of spray paint to use?

Hey thanks! Yeah I had dielectric grease in there when I thought I had it fixed by fixing the bad plug. I put that grease on everything!

That was one of our older pygmies. He got bloat and kicked it. We loved having them around to clean up after the cattle but got tired of fighting those little bastards. They were named after the magicians Penn and Teller because they could get out of everything we put them in.

It's just the same old avi I have used on all the forums so that guys can recognize me and know who they're talking to.
