27" Bighorn 2's on a 420 AT?

Will the 420 Rancher AT turn the 27" tires without the gear reduction?
I dont go muddin just trail riding and some farm work.
I found a set of them on some ITP's with 80 miles on them for 450.00

25's or 26's would be a better fit. You'll see a power loss with 27's and they may rub on your fenders.

Thats What I was worried about. I'm getting ready to buy some wheels/tires and ran across this deal. Thought I'd ask around first before I bought something usless. Thanks

Yea.... I definately would not put 27's on a Rancher. That would be a good way to goof up a perfectly good Rancher. I just put 25" Bighorn 2's on my wife's Rancher AT and they are incredible! We do a lot of trail riding over various terrians, and the Bighorns are fabulous. The 25's add about 1.5 inches of clearance to the Rancher. If you go higher than that, you'll start negatively affecting your handling, steering, center-of-gravity, etc. I strongly recommend the BH2's based on personal experience!

I'm running 26" original Bighorns on my 420AT...and from what I've heard...they are about the same size as the 27" Bighorn 2.0s.

Have you noticed much of a power loss? I dont mind putting a gear reduction in but Id rather wait till the warranty runs out before I start doing any wrenching on the internals

A little bit but not much.
Mine will be getting the SRA gear reduction this winter.
But I also have a set of 28" Silverbacks for mud riding.

27's won't hurt a thing I run 29.5 on my rancher and it's awesome I have another rancher I just put 27" executioners 27/10/12 & 27/12/12 on and theirs plenty of clearence for them with no power loss or anything you'll be fine with 27" andything bigger than that you need a lift or a lot of trimming on the fenders

I just dont want it to bog down much if I was climbing a hill or something. I might be able to mount them this week and I'll see how it handles, if its not much of a power loss then I'll buy them. If it is then I'll press the buy button on my order of Some Douglas Rattlesnakes with 25" Swamplites, either way I'll have some new wheels/tires in the next couple weeks
