vinegar is some very useful stuff , I have a book around here that was my Dad's about 100 things to do with vinegar -------- I have been drinking it for my stomach , just started this week and it has been making me feel better , a green tea bag in 1/2 cup of water microwaved hot , 2 table spoons of non-pasteurized vinegar , two table spoons fulls raw honey and a 1/2 table spoon of ginger , it really doesn't tase as bad as it sounds

Followed your directions on the 300 tank from my buddy's 98. The solution followed by a hairdryer left me a nice clean tank. I filled it with ethanol free gas after reinstalling it on the bike a couple of days ago. I'll check it tomorrow or Saturday and see if it stayed clean after adding gas.

It was still clean when he picked it up a couple of weeks ago. I told him to keep it full of ethanol free gas.

I'll check it out next time he comes down to ride.

Here’s progress on my tank. Soaking the strap attachment nuts in vinegar
In these pics you can see how I repainted tank and strap, also the interior with the shroud of main intake screen, and reserve intake screen with tank drain

not exactly, its a muscle relaxer. mix in a shot glass 50% honey, 50% apple cider vinegar. it's still near the same principle. to much acid, makes the stomach hot, so to speak, the vinegar, neutralizes it. why it relaxes the muscles, im not sure. probably the same thing, as getting cramp's, when it works on those. works better then tum's, and safer i think. dont cost near as much..

If i MAY please interrupt the discussion on home dockterin (lol) I’ll show you the freshly painted and oufitted fuel tank.
Here is it–the mouse-pee covered, rust encrusted, muck-clogged original. Rebuilt petcock, new fuel lever and anti-chafing grommet. Ready to hook up to the original fuel line, which surprisingly still had the fuel filter and boot.
Just kidding Outlaws–enjoy this thread and behold the power of vinegar Yah ah ah!
