Big GRs

I now have two sets of gears to make a 74% and 82% for 300 BR/fourtrax if anybody is interested, i wont make the GR as the cost of shipping isnt worth while to me. DIY or send the parts off to be built.

I got these cheap ish so figured Id offer them up on here.

Haha.. Big Red...

74% is fairly popular now with 82 being called the ‘big GR’. I got them because the one gear can be awkward to find, there’s a good amount of metal to get a great weld on it you see. Figured somebody will want one soon enough.

Sam , I was at Dick's yesterday and we were talking reduction on my 450 , I just realized that he might be interested in your gears , I seen some extreme machines over there yesterday , a Raptor racer with 1035 CC's and I watched the video of it making a run , I wouldn't want to be on it --------- if you want PM me with what exactly you have to sell and I will pass it on to him and maybe you'll can make a deal ----

I was always under the impression Dicks bought GRs off Ron Shaw, Id have thought he know some about the big GRs by now, hes one of the main builders I thought.

He said that he did not need it , I thought by you saying one can be " awkward to find " that it could have been wanted ---------

Ohh ok, I believe some builders use a narrow gear, about 1/2” wide across the teeth. These I have are 1 1/8” which allows for a better weld as you don’t weld into the gear mesh. The extra width on the teeth is then machined off to the desired size.
