Yikes.

I think I'd try to find a used one in better shape.

PSN has one that says "tested" for $65 or so. Kinda pricey. Might see if that one can be cleaned up. If not, order a used one.

Ok. Got a little bit done yesterday. Got a whole bunch of gears in a pickle bucket that hopefully parts washer solvent will remove the rust from. Got into a mess that hopefully one of you can give me an alt way of getting the bearings out. Plus, my rear brake drum, I can't find the O Ring and having a hard time getting the outer drum off. LOL. Breakdown is near complete then my daughter gets the glorious task of cleaning off the entire frame, plus sanding it. Ahhhh. LOL And thats the pickle. 1056. Parts machine and original motor.
Have a great one. Enjoy my headache. LOL

Having a hard time getting the rear drum brake off. I got the outer assembly off, but I can't find and can't see the O ring. So, trying to figure out a way to get to that. Then I can see what the pads look like.

The brake drums are a PITA sometimes. Will the cam rotate at all or is it seized?

I had a 350D brake assembly last week that was seized and the drum would not come off. I was making a brake delete out of it anyway so I cut it up/ smashed it with a hammer. I don't think I could have gotten it apart in once piece.

The 350D stuff I was working on was a backing plate, drum, and drum cover that wasn't on the axle anymore. I think it would be easier to get the drum off the pads with the axle there to hold it in place, unless the drum is seized on the axle splines and not the pads.
