the stuff I was looking at Home depot is so thin , a sneeze could bend it -----

my buddy has a sheet metal shop and he can get anything I want for as good a price as any other shop or store could get , BUT , he can only buy a whole sheet , and all I need is a cutting , I went over there and he has some checker plate , but not to much or the right gage , he does have a lot of flat stainless

I think what would look good is , if I were to space out my winch fairlead , bend that checker plate I have in the pic above and bring it all the way up to the tube of the bumper and mount the fairlead on the checker plate -----we are having a party this weekend and my sheet metal buddy is coming with his Canny , I am going to have him look at it and see if he can bend it in the brake , it would be cool , if he could bend it twice and have it be a front bumper plate and then roll under the frame and also be a front skid plate all in one

$399 would blow 1/2 your $800 max build project in one pop ------- that is a beautiful tank if you are doing a showroom vintage build ----------- Honda Hoarders has a lot of NOS stuff floating around , but the prices are stupid to a mortal like me

That was cheap for a 350 carb. They usually bring $75+

sorry I missed this fish.

I don't do all my builds with a $800 budget LOL Wouldn't get very far haha

Even for a showroom build, I don't see the value in a $400 tank. It's not THAT hard to find good tanks, at least not around here. I think if you were going to buy it it would have to be for display rather than to use. Put it on a shelf somewhere.
