Similar to sea foam??

Hey guys.

Today we took delivery of this (see pictures) leak stopper made by Lucas. Is this similar to the seafoam brand you guys are using over in the USA?
If you read the label it says, can be used in petroleum engines and for use with wet brakes and clutches.
Just wondering what your opinions are really, would you use it in your ATV engine?

This wasn't for an ATV it was for the hydraulic system in a small loader tractor.

Seafoam is a cleaner, Lucas is a sealer.

Ahh ok, I couldn't find a reliable source for seafoam so I don't know. It does say on Lucas that it treats oil and brake and friction materials?

I've used this with success to clean up the fuel system. My truck was instantly smoother with it, 3oz to 5 gals ratio

Would not use your product as it is for stopping leaks I think

Lucas makes lots of different products, and many are like sea foam, but that one isn't one of them LOL
seafoam is a a multi deal issue, it cleans, lube's,displaces water and a few other things
like a magic type oil LOL some swear will fix or prevent a million things
some add to oil, some add to fuel, its a million and one like uses?

this would maybe be closer to Seafoam, for you in a Lucas brand bottle

Thanks for that mrbb, very helpful. I'm due an oil change when I fit new clutches and one way bearing and had considered putting something such as seafoam in my oil until the next oil change, just as part of a 'run in' period.

Leak stoppers ARE SNAKE OIL!! If something is leaking (#(T is bad and needs fixing. Hydro systems will probably blow that crap right out the seals..

Well, I agree I guess. One of those situations though where we can't have oil leaking in the foaling stables and we needed to use the loader. The Lucas stuff worked actually, it's done the job until we can get chance to replace the pumps main shaft seal.

Lucas actually sells stuff just for engine break in

https://lucasoil.com/products/engine...e-tb-zinc-plus

and they also sell a oil leak stopper too

https://lucasoil.com/products/engine...-oil-stop-leak

but I agree, no oil will fix the reason oil is leaking, or NOT for long, its a band aid at best
