Yea, thats something similar to the units around here, my build will be only steel for the pots, not stainless, and mostly plastic pipe, with copper rad pieces around the house.

Well....... The fire breathing dragon sneezed yesterday....lol the circulating pump bearings Gave up the ghost... Im very happy with 15 years of service.... Brought up two loads of wood, while unloading, i loaded a few in the fire box, and heard a whirling sound, opened up the access panel cut the power to the blower fan .... So i was shut down from going after another load, called my bud Sam (authorized dealer) got here 7pm lastnight, we had the new pump installed quickly, new stainless pump, we also updated to stainless flanges, and bolts, and updated the lower pex water feed line to a shark bite fitting. $330 later she's back up rolling coal!

He cut me a deal $70 told me... You've sent a bunch of customers my way...buiness is booming! Lol!

Paying it forward!

1 is the little wood stove i have in the basement, next to the old oil furnace. Its more for taking the chill out of the basement, & in case the power goes out.
2 is the stove we have at the camp, & 3 is a fire pit my bud made. We were having a fire in it last night even.

Pretty cool fire pit. He made it all out of slate? What did he use to bond everything together?

Well.... I got a nice surprise this evening! ....apparently ..... The fire breathing dragon sneezed! a pin hole in the cold low pressure return pump line, thankfully..... I replaced the full (120 psi) pressure domestic lines, so, just one more old line to swop over to red pex ........Man.... It's always something!! Lol.

Exclamation

Yeah, Fish Exactly! ...... When rains , it pours! ...... I was doing my reg furness check/lube and noticed the water level was up above the auto fill float (right side of the pic) this is bad news. The high pressure domestic water coil has a pin hole (slow rise) Thankfully... I added a ball valve to the feed line..... So I'm limited (shut off now) on hot water...... this will set me back about....$800, the good news is, Sam told me its an updated kit with its own pump I told him ..I'd be glad to help install this kit.... He said sure..then asked, Your not looking for a discount....? Lol he's a smart azz lol...reminds me of some here haha!

Sam sent me this image last night... This is the completed smaller h-2 domestic hot water mod (coil by passed) ..... I'm curious as to how this kit works (extra pump) the good thing is i can still plumb in my existing outside hot water spigot! My thinking is the pump kicks in when the domestic water pressure drops ? I'll be the 1st around here to have this mod done to the monster size h-4 unit.

I'll update when we get this kit installed.

And just for you fellas thinking of getting a hardy.... DON'T go with a new model, of any type, go with a old school hardy mechanical.... Sam told me (just about all boilers ) the new emission controlled units have a catalytic converter, and are computer controlled they will not burn green wood of any type... @&$)(;:/- spotted al bore <<< full blown idiot! His father sure did waist his seed! Haha!
